TikTok Shop Fee Calculator 2026

On a $25.00 item with $4.99 shipping charged by a US seller in a standard category, the referral fee is $1.80, which is 6% of the $29.99 sale. It is 6% of the item price plus shipping, and it covers payment processing. Affiliate commission and Smart Promotion are extra, and only if you choose them.

TikTok Shop publishes 6% for most categories, 5% for the listed jewelry sub-categories and Pre-Owned, and 3% on the part of a Collectibles or Pre-Owned sale over $10,000. The page was last revised 8 Oct 2026. Some sellers report a higher rate on their account, so check Seller Center and use Custom rate if yours differs. At 8% the example order would pay $2.40.

The commission is 9% including VAT for most categories, and 5% for household appliances, most phones and electronics, most computers and office equipment, and electrical beauty devices. There is no separate payment fee, and no VAT is added on top. TikTok Shop's own example, a £100.00 item with a £10.00 seller discount, a £10.00 platform discount and £5.00 shipping, has a £95.00 base and a £8.55 commission.

The customer's payment plus any platform discount, minus tax. That includes the shipping the buyer pays. A discount you fund lowers the base, and a discount TikTok Shop funds does not, because it is added back. In the UK this works out to the price minus your discount plus shipping.

You set the rate for each product, from 1% to 80%, and it comes out of your payout when the order settles. On the example order, 15% comes to $3.75. The UK pages define the base as price minus your discount minus the platform discount, with no shipping or tax. The US page does not define it, so the calculator uses the same base and says so.

Smart Promotion is optional, but TikTok Shop requires it for platform campaigns and Flash Sales. It is 3.5% of shop sales outside campaigns, and 1 to 2 points more during campaigns. On the example order, 3.5% is $0.88. The calculator applies it to the item price after discounts, which is our assumption.

In the US, TikTok Shop returns the referral fee minus a Refund Administration Fee of 20% of the fee, capped at $5.00 per SKU. On the example order that is $0.36 kept. In the UK, the commission on refunded items is returned in full. Affiliate commission already paid to a creator cannot be recovered.

For Collectibles and Pre-Owned in the US, the part of a sale over $10,000 pays 3%. A $12,000.00 pre-owned item with no shipping pays $560.00: 5% on the first $10,000 and 3% on the rest.

In the UK, new sellers can earn a reduced commission by completing missions, but TikTok Shop does not state the rate or the length on the pages we read. A US new seller promotion has been reported, but it is no longer on any official page. Neither is modelled. If your Seller Center shows a reduced rate, enter it as Custom rate.

Shipping, because rate cards change by weight, size and season: enter your own label cost. Also left out are Fulfilled by TikTok fees, ad spend, payout timing, and sales tax on the referral fee for sellers in West Virginia and Texas.

Switch the calculator to "Find price", then set the profit or margin you want. It solves for the item price that leaves exactly that after the referral fee, affiliate commission and Smart Promotion, using the same rounding as the main calculator.
