Vinted fees, answered
How much does Vinted take from each sale?
Nothing. Vinted charges sellers no selling fee, no listing fee and no subscription, and the full item price goes to your Vinted Balance. On a £25.00 item with a £6.00 cost you keep £19.00.
What is the Vinted fee the buyer pays?
The Vinted fee, which used to be called Buyer Protection, is added at checkout and paid by the buyer. Vinted does not publish the exact formula, so this calculator shows an estimate. In the UK Vinted says it is usually 3% to 8% + £0.30 to £0.80 including VAT, which on a £25.00 item is about £1.05 to £2.80.
What is the Vinted fee in the US, France and Germany?
Vinted says it is usually 5% + $0.70 in the US and 5% + €0.70 in France and Germany. These are the published usual figures, not an exact rate, so the calculator labels them as about. The US figure includes sales tax.
Does the Vinted fee come out of my payout?
No. The buyer pays the Vinted fee on top of the item price, so it does not reduce what you receive. The calculator shows it as buyer information and does not count it in your profit.
Who pays postage on Vinted?
Vinted says the buyer pays shipping, and the price depends on parcel size, route and carrier. If you choose to cover postage yourself, enter it under "Postage you pay" and it comes out of your profit.
Do Vinted Pro sellers pay selling fees?
No. Pro sellers also pay no selling fee, according to Vinted's Pro terms. Buyers pay a separate Buyer Protection Pro fee on Pro purchases. We do not show that formula because we could only confirm it from a secondary source.
What is Item Verification on Vinted UK?
It is an optional service the buyer can add in the UK. Vinted's pricelist lists it at £10.00, or £5.00 for electronics, paid by the buyer. It does not change what you keep.
What do bumps and showcase cost?
Vinted shows the price of an item bump or showcase at checkout and does not publish a table, so this calculator does not model them. Bumps are optional, so they are not part of an ordinary sale.
How do I price an item to hit a profit target?
Switch the calculator to "Find price", then set the profit or margin you want. Because Vinted takes nothing from the seller, the price is simply your target plus your item cost and any postage you pay.

How we checked every number
Every number on this page comes from one data file, checked against Vinted's own help pages and pricelists on 19 Oct 2026. The calculator, the worked example, the tables and the FAQ all read from it, so they cannot disagree.
Vinted does not publish the exact buyer fee, so buyer figures are estimates from the published range or usual rate. Where a figure was unclear or we could not confirm it, we left it out instead of guessing.
What we could not confirm or do not model
- Vinted does not publish the exact formula for the buyer's Vinted fee (formerly Buyer Protection). The UK figure is shown as the published range, and the US, France and Germany figures as the published usual rate. The real fee on a given order can differ.
- The France and Germany pricelists were read through a page summary, not directly in a browser. UK and US were read directly.
- The Buyer Protection Pro fee that buyers pay on Pro purchases is only confirmed by a secondary source, so it is not shown.
- Bump prices, showcase prices and shipping prices are shown at checkout and are not published as tables, so the calculator does not model them.
- Vinted's terms mention a buyer-side currency conversion fee of 1.2% to 3% where it applies. Which rate applies and what it is charged on is not published, so it is not modelled.
- Vinted says shipping is paid by the buyer and depends on parcel size, route and carrier. The calculator only takes postage you pay yourself, if any.
